Hey! I'm Ryan Hayen - a designer, improviser, and music lover based in Chicago.
Currently, I practice at Insight Digital Innovation, where I've led the design of products and services that have reshaped customer and employee experiences for a diverse range of companies. Prior, I spent three years in a digital agency creating custom e-commerce, and branded web solutions. In 2015, I completed a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction at DePaul University.
When I was a kid, I watched the movie Back to the Future about five-thousand times. As a result, I've always had a passion for both studying history and envisioning the future. I love what I do because design is a vehicle for understanding where we've been, and a tool that allows us to have a say about where we're going.
Aside from all of that, I enjoy making loud sounds on my Fender Strat, hanging out with my family, performing improv comedy, and seeing the world. Probably the coolest thing I've ever done is play Michael Jordan one on one in a game of basketball. He won.
